September was a vibrant and eventful month at Geetanjali International School — one that beautifully blended celebration, learning, and growth for both students and teachers.

We began the month with the joyous Teacher’s Day celebration, dedicated to appreciating the heart of our institution — our teachers. To honour their tireless commitment and unwavering efforts toward the betterment of our students, the school organized a wellness retreat. It was a refreshing experience that allowed our educators to relax, rejuvenate, and bond outside the classroom setting. The retreat served as a token of gratitude for their invaluable contribution throughout the year.

Our students, too, made us proud with their enthusiastic participation in an external Model United Nations (MUN). They represented various countries as delegates in prestigious councils like UNHRC, UNESCO, and others. Through debates, discussions, and diplomacy, our young delegates developed essential 21st-century skills — critical thinking, public speaking, collaboration, and a global outlook.

Professional growth for teachers remained a key focus this month. Two insightful training sessions were conducted — “Understanding the Cambridge Approach” by Ms. Vaishali Bane, which deepened teachers’ understanding of the Cambridge philosophy and curriculum design, and “Classroom Management” by Ms. Uma Maheswari, which provided practical strategies to create positive and engaging learning environments.

Adding to the highlights, our Principal, Ms. Diasha Datta, attended the Cambridge A/AS Levels Meet, where she had the opportunity to interact with Mr. Dan Bray, Director of Assessment, Innovation & Transformation at Cambridge. The discussion opened new avenues for academic innovation and further strengthened our school’s commitment to global education standards.

We concluded the month with Mid-Term Assessments, marking an important academic milestone, followed by a lively Dandiya Celebration. Students, dressed in vibrant traditional attire, filled the campus with energy, rhythm, and joy — a perfect culmination to a month that celebrated the spirit of learning, togetherness, and festivity.

The campus came alive with colours, music, and excitement as students and teachers dressed in traditional attire and danced to rhythmic beats. The event was filled with energy, laughter, and cultural vibrancy, highlighting the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also cultural appreciation and togetherness. The lively atmosphere reflected the essence of community and celebration — a perfect way to wrap up a productive and spirited term.
