August Newsletter
August unfolded as a month of togetherness, celebration, and purposeful learning. We began with our Parent-Teacher Meeting, a heartwarming opportunity to sit across from our most important partners in education—our parents. The conversations were filled with meaning, as we exchanged strategies to nurture our children both academically and emotionally. It was a reminder that when school and home walk hand in hand, the journey of a child becomes richer and more fulfilling.
Soon after, the atmosphere turned reflective as we observed Hiroshima Day with a special assembly. Students paid tribute to the innocent lives lost and came together to affirm that peace must always triumph over conflict. The assembly was not just a tribute to history but also a gentle nudge for our young learners to value harmony in their everyday lives.
We also celebrated National Handloom Day, a moment to honor the rich tradition of India’s handloom weavers and artisans. Through special assemblies and classroom discussions, our students were reminded of the beauty of sustainable fashion and the importance of supporting local crafts. The celebration carried a strong message of respecting our cultural heritage while also making responsible choices for the future. By understanding how handloom represents not just fabric but the livelihood of countless families, our children gained awareness of the need to preserve traditional crafts and embrace eco-friendly alternatives over synthetic fabrics.
The energy picked up with the inter-house competitions that followed. Elocution and poster-making brought out both eloquence and creativity from our students. The stage became a space for powerful voices, where children spoke with confidence and conviction, while the posters carried strong messages through colors and designs. It was wonderful to see our students not only showcase their talents but also grow in confidence, teamwork, and house spirit.
Mid-month, the tricolor draped our school as we came together for Independence Day. The cultural performances filled the campus with energy and pride. Through dances, songs, and skits, our students celebrated India’s rich heritage, while also being reminded of the sacrifices that gave us freedom. It was a day that left everyone inspired to carry forward the values of responsibility, unity, and love for the nation.
As the festive spirit continued, the youngest members of our school brought endless joy with the Janmashtami celebration. Dressed as little Radhas and Krishnas, our Early Years children filled the campus with innocence and cheer. Their excitement during the handi phor program was infectious, reminding us all of the beauty of traditions and the joy of simple celebrations.
Even amidst festivities, academics remained a steady focus. Students prepared diligently for Formative Assessment 2, revising concepts and strengthening their learning. Our Middle School students also took a big step forward as they began preparations for the upcoming Model United Nations. With the support of expert mentors, they have been researching global issues, practicing voice modulation, and refining their body language, turning into confident speakers ready to represent nations on a larger platform.
Adding to the month’s highlights, a group of our students participated in the All India National Karate Championship 2025. They all have secured positions in the competition. Their discipline, hard work, and spirit of perseverance shine as an example to all.
As we look back, August feels like a beautiful blend of reflection, celebration, learning, and preparation. Every moment, from assemblies to performances, from competitions to academic focus, stitched together a narrative of growth. It was a month where our children not only learned but also lived the values of peace, unity, tradition, and excellence.
