At Geetanjali International School, our approach to assessment and reporting is designed to support the holistic development of our students, ensuring that every learner receives the feedback and guidance they need to excel. We utilize the most advanced methods in Assessment for Learning (AfL), with a strong emphasis on diagnostic, midline, and endline assessments, all aimed at fostering continuous growth and improvement.
Assessment for Learning (AfL)
Diagnostic Assessments: At the beginning of each term or unit, we conduct diagnostic assessments to gauge students’ existing knowledge and skills. These assessments help teachers tailor their instruction to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring that learning is targeted and effective.
Midline Assessments: Throughout the term, midline assessments are used to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. These formative assessments provide valuable insights into how well students are grasping the material, allowing for timely interventions and support where needed.
Endline Assessments: At the end of each term or academic year, endline assessments evaluate student achievement against the learning objectives. These summative assessments not only measure academic performance but also provide a comprehensive view of each student’s development across multiple dimensions.
Advanced Diagnostic Tools
Comprehensive Reporting
Progress Reports: Mid-term reports provide an overview of student performance, including areas of strength and those requiring further development. These reports are a valuable tool for setting goals and planning next steps.
End-of-Term Reports: Comprehensive reports at the end of each term offer a detailed analysis of student achievements, including academic performance, personal growth, and skill development. These reports include both quantitative grades and qualitative feedback, giving a well-rounded view of student progress.
